• When using the Autel MaxiSys scanner to diagnose Chrysler, Jeep Renegade, Wrangler, and 300C models from 2018 and later, note that most of these models are equipped with a Security Gateway Module (SGM).During the process, if the device prompts that it cannot communicate with the control unit, this is usually due to the presence of the SGM.
• The location of the SGM varies, but it is commonly found in the side kick panel, near the passenger-side glove box, or behind the radio.To resolve communication issues, it is crucial to use the correct converter.
• Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep, and Fiat models from 2018 and later now have a Security Gateway Module (SGM). This SGM will not allow the scan tool to perform bidirectional control.
• Damage to the device caused by using an incompatible power source is not covered by the warranty. Ensure you use the correct equipment and accessories.
